This is definitely my favorite Yoda
kit. It is so perfect. The pose, the sculpt, the detail. I love everything
about this kit. Assembly was very easy as there were only about 3 parts,
the main body and head, the hands and the cane. There was some cleanup
necessary as is with most resin kits. Just some simple filing and sanding.
There wasn't really any areas that needed filling with putty. I started
off by doing what I always do with Yoda kits and sprayed the whole thing
Flat Light Aircraft Gray. This color would act as a base coat as well
as color the cloak. I then airbrushed his skin a lightened and toned down
Interior Green. After that I did some shading by dry brushing lighter
and darker shades of the green color to make the details stand out. His
nails were picked out in a Sand color and his shirt in Teddy Bear Brown.
His cloak was heavily dry brushed with blacks and browns to give it that
dirty look that results from many years on Dagobah. His eyes were painted
a very dark brown with black pupils and then gloss-coated to give them
that realistic shine. I finished the kit off by painting the cane a light
brown color and then dry brushing darker browns on it. All in all, just
a great kit for only a few bucks. I got this kit on eBay for around $15.
