This is one of the rarer Argonauts kits. They are mostly known for their ships, but they also did this one and a Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper. The great part about this kit is the head it comes with. You have a choice between a full helmet or a revealed head. I chose the revealed head since it was unlike any other. Most of the other Vader kits only show the very back of his head where this one shows the whole thing. I think it is supposed to be when Luke takes Vader's helmet off on the ramp of the Shuttle on the Second Death Star when he is dying. Because of this I also decided to do something else to the kit. I chopped his hand off! I'll talk more about that later. This kit is made out of really high quality vinyl and cut very easily. The parts are all very accurate and even included the proper molding for the chest piece. I painted most of the parts separately since they are all different shades of black. I used Flat Black for the capes, Gloss Black for the armor and Soft/Semi Gloss Black for the gloves and under suit. I then detailed the panels and put a very dark silver color into the proper recesses on the chest. For the head I lightened up a flesh color that I had and used that for the base. I then dry brushed even lighter flesh colors to gross it up even more. I also put the dark circles under his eyes. For the nasty scars I painted them a rusty red and detailed it with some bright red, flesh and some brown. I really like them, nice n' nasty! Now for the hand. After it was painted, I warmed it up a bit and cut the end off with a scissors about where Luke chopped through it. I then squeezed a bunch of Quik Grab glue inside the arm and let it dry just a little bit. I then took a bunch of different wires to make the cybernetics you can see coming out of his arm in Return Of The Jedi. I stripped some wires, separated some multi-strand copper wire, burned some others and just randomly made a bunch of different types of wires. I then stuck them up into the glue and let it dry. Then I slapped a bunch of Red paint inside to simulate blood. I think it came out pretty neat. It's a unique addition that gives a lot to the kit. I got this kit for $100 from someone online.
