This kit was produced to accompany another Stormtrooper that is crouched down ready to shoot. They look really neat standing next to each other. The sculpting style of the kit is very unique. It is stylized and almost cartoonish, it is very reminiscent of the old Animated Batman series. Like its partner kit, the piece was cast in very smooth green resin so paint had a little trouble adhering. I would suggest just giving the whole thing a very light sanding just to give it a little tooth for the paint to stick to. Just be careful not to eliminate any detail. Like I say with every Stormtrooper kit, paint it before you assemble it, otherwise you will have trouble painting the black under suit once it is assembled. One slight problem I had with these kits was gluing the arms on. They were made of solid resin so they had some weight to them. I found they pulled too hard on the glue and it didn't dry fast enough and they moved. Make sure you use fast drying glue if you build these kits. An epoxy or super glue should work just fine. I got this kit from an online retailer for around $30. |
