This is actually two kits together (but only one counts to my collection number). This is the original Star Destroyer kit, re-released by AMT/ERTL along with a resin detail set released by SubLevel 3 Heavy Industries. This detail set was only in production for a short time and was scheduled to be re-released by SMT, but was canceled. The resin pieces are supposed to replace the somewhat sparsely detailed plastic kit parts with new highly detailed parts. This is a very sought after kit that, at first glance, doesn't appear too great. Some of the parts are cast with large bubbles. There are also some fit problems and the shield deflector domes are just awful. I'll see how it turns out once I get started on it. Either way, it should add some nice chunky detail to the Imperial Cruiser.
