Instructions include full color 6 view
paint guide.
The long awaited and much anticipated Fine Molds (or Finemolds as some
say) Slave 1 has finally arrived!! All I can say is WOW! What
a kit. Without even building the kit yet, I can say that this one ranks
easily among the absolute best Star Wars kits of all time. There is tons
and tons of detail that is sharp, crisp and accurate. The parts appear
to fit together very well with some quick dry fitting. Another plus is
the size of the piece. This kit is big! You can see the size comparison
to the old ERTL kit in the pictures. It is easily at least two full inches
longer and much bulkier than the ERTL kit. The instructions are very clear
(even in Japanese) and Fine Molds has also included a full-color,
six view paint guide!! This is a first for Star Wars models. The
kit depicts Jango's version from Episode II. The sonic mines are there
and even a little Boba, seated Jango with helmet off and a standing Jango
in full armor. The ship can probably be modified to create Boba's, should
you desire, however it really isn't necessary as Fine Molds has a separate
Boba version available with all the needed parts. Anyway, Fine Molds has
really outdone themselves with this one. Lucasfilm did an excellent job
in selecting Fine Molds to produce the beloved ships of Star Wars. Fine
Molds is top quality and we couldn't have asked for more. I hope Fine
Molds has a long and healthy relationship with Lucasfilm and all of us
modelers as well. I absolutely can not wait to get started on this kit.
If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and order one. It'll run you
about $70 direct from Japan but it is worth every penny.
