Assembly is very simple on this kit. You just have to be careful around the engines because the way you have to put them together makes painting and filling difficult. I had originally put this kit together pretty poorly. It wasn't until much later when someone commissioned me to build one for them that I decided to redo it. I broke it down and stripped the paint from the fighter. I didn't bother with the base, I just repainted it. With the fighter I tried as hard as I could to fill the seams where appropriate. Especially on the topside of the ship between the cockpit and the chrome. There was a huge seam there that does not exist on the actual models so I got rid of it. When I stripped the kit, the decals were destroyed so I had to hand paint new ones on. They look pretty bad but oh well. For the rest of the painting I used glossy yellow and chrome. For weathering I got a little out of hand. Just assume this fighter is post-Battle Of Naboo. I tend to enjoy weathering and don't always know when to stop. I got this kit online for around $5. |
