This, when finished, will be my ultimate Millennium Falcon. This kit will be fully accurized and lit. It starts with the old MPC/ERTL non-cutaway version of the Millennium Falcon. To accurize it, I have the Cockpit, Side Panels, and Landing Gear accurizing kits from FalconKits as well as the Grill Detail Sets from Millennia Models International and the gun platform detail sets from Germany by Triliance. To light the kit, I have a bunch of .265 fiber optic cable (some from the fiber optics kit from the AMT/ERTL Fiber Optic Star Destroyer) and the Millennium Falcon lighting kit from Lightsheet Systems. I'll also be using many LEDs to represent the landing lights, gunnery lights, cockpit etc. Mark Kozik of Zarkus Model Kits has drawn up an excellent plan to help locate all of the lights. I also plan to add the small personal defense turret seen on Hoth. I'll also be adding hundreds of small details all around the hull where it is needed such as on the rear deck and the cockpit tube. I will be posting progress pics here whenever I make progress, which will probably be a very long time from now. With the Fine Molds Millennium Falcon at nearly the same size and almost perfect accuracy, I don't see the point of completing this build.
