This is a really neat resin kit that goes along with the Kaiyodo 1/15 kits. This kit and a few others were made by an unknown artist to compliment the Kaiyodo kits of the same scale. The sculpting on this kit is very nice and is actually pretty realistic. The casting is crisp and looks good. There was just a little bit of cleanup that needed to be done. I'm pretty sure this kit was just one piece so assembly wasn't a factor. Most of the painting was with Flesh, so that was easy. The boots and top are a mixture of brown and gray with gold accents. The skirt is just Teddy Bear Brown. All of the metal around the kit is Gold. The hair was a mixture of several different browns as is always true with Leia kits. In the movie, Leia wore a lot of makeup with this outfit so I tried to portray that without going overboard and making her look like clown. The trick to getting good eyeliner is to do the basic shape of the eye in white and then do the eyeliner with black and a extremely fine point brush. Then, go over the edges of the eye again in white to cover up any mistakes. It works good this way. For her lipstick I mixed Flesh and Victorian Mauve to find a nice color that wasn't too over the top. I think it worked out OK. I got this kit off eBay for around $5.
