This kit was originally created by
Kaiyodo. It looks pretty good, even though the pose is kind of weird.
I don't really know what she's doing. I think it is supposed to be her
asking for Obi-Wan's help. This kit seems kind of small for 1/6 scale.
The same thing is true with Kaiyodo's 1/6 Han Solo. Assembly was very
simple on this kit. This is true for most vinyl figure kits; at least
the ones of more realistic subjects that aren't too overly elaborate.
For painting I sprayed the kit Flat White on the clothing areas. I painted
the skin an acrylic flesh color and painted the hair various browns. The
face was tricky. You have to be very careful with painting female faces,
you don't want to overdo it. I've seen some female faces that are basically
painted the same way as a man's face. A woman's face is much more smooth
and even looking. You also have to be careful with the makeup. Sometimes
when people do female faces, they slab on paint to pass as makeup. You
really have to just subtly apply the paint to simulate makeup. Not that
I'm any good at it, that's just what I've seen and what I tend to do.
:) Other than that, the kit is basically done. I have unfortunately knocked
this kit off the shelf more times than I can count and scratched the paint
all over the place. I have yet to repaint it. It was pretty plain so I
accented it with a Rebel Alliance insignia base. I haven't knocked the
kit off the shelf since I added the base. I got this kit off eBay for
around $15. |
