This plump fellow, when devoid of
arms, has the curves of a pear. Once you put the arms on him and give
him that hefty ax, he doesn't look so tasty anymore. I dare you to try
and take a bite out of this guy. Anyway...the resin on this kit was pretty
cleanly cast. There was just a bit of cleanup around some rough mold-lines.
I used the same colors on this kit as I did on the smaller bust of the
Gamorrean. It was difficult to make this kit look as good as the other
one as this one had less texture to work with. I tried airbrushing, but
it just didn't work as effectively as the other kit. The Gamorreans had
a really rough look that is difficult to achieve with anything but subtle
dry brushing. Construction was a pain on this kit because the solid resin
arms were really heavy and they had to be delicately positioned to hold
the ax. The ax was just two pieces of resin that you had to stick in his
hands. I painted the handle light brown and painted the blade the same
way as the armor on the Gamorrean. That's basically it. It's hard to say
much about this kit without repeating what I said in the bust write-up.
I got this kit on eBay for around $20. |
